The system of the Toyota National College of Technology team, which won the corporate award at last year’s National College of Technology Deep Learning Contest 2022, continues to be improved as an AI camera that judges the risk of heat stroke from facial images. Currently, in collaboration with DUMSCO Co., Ltd. and several general construction companies, POLA CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES, LTD. is conducting a demonstration experiment from June to September 2023 to verify the usefulness of this AI system at construction sites, and the situation is attracting attention on TV and newspapers.
At Toyota National College of Technology, with the cooperation of Taikei Construction Co., Ltd., which is in charge of the construction of the student dormitory, an AI system was introduced on July 10. Tablet terminals are installed at the entrance of the rest area, and workers can hold their faces over their faces before the morning assembly or lunch break to determine the three heat stroke risk levels of danger, caution, and caution. Based on the results of the demonstration experiment, we plan to verify the usefulness of the AI system and how to operate it appropriately at construction sites, and work on its implementation in society.
