【Comments from Participating Students】
Maki Takemura (3rd year, Department of Electrical and Electronic Systems Engineering)
I participated in the national tournament following last year, and I am very happy that I was able to move up one place from last year and win second place. I was also glad to receive a special award. I got sick just before the tournament and couldn’t practice satisfactorily. However, the three of us found time to complete the project through repeated practice. I have fond memories of practicing until late at night at my accommodation the day before the performance. I am also full of gratitude to my colleagues.
Ami Kakutani (2nd year, Department of Environmental and Urban Engineering)
I am very happy and honored to be on the big stage of the National College of Technology English Presentation Contest and to win second place with the three of us. It was my first time, and there were many things I didn’t understand, so my friends Mr. Ishii and Mr. Takemura, as well as many teachers, supported me. Thank you very much. Through this experience, I would like to take on more challenges and devote myself to more things.
Kaorin Ishii (2nd year, Department of Architecture)
I was keenly aware of the difficulty of creating something with my peers at the National College of Technology English Presentation Contest. The three of us had a lot of discussions, improved, and tried to make a better presentation while practicing in the morning. I was so nervous that my limbs were shaking, but once I got on stage and started talking, it was a lot of fun. Perhaps because of this message to the judges, we were able to win second place in the team division. I was honored to receive the award, but most of all, I was happy that the three of us made a successful presentation.
