In order to support students’ independent activities for startups, we held the 4th Evening Seminar on Wednesday, October 4, Reiwa 5 at our multipurpose hall.
This event was supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s Startup Education Environment Improvement Project, and is positioned as a part of our school’s startup education program that started this fiscal year. Participants were from all grades and departments of our school, students and international students, as well as faculty and staff members and cooperating companies.
On the day of the event, Mr. Ryuichiro Toyoshi, CEO and co-founder of Tokuiten Co., Ltd., gave a lecture. In the lecture, titled “From Technical College Students to Entrepreneurs: The Story of a Technical College Student Who Started a Startup from Scratch,” he talked about his experiences after graduating from technical college, such as how he raised funds while earning money little by little, how he started a business, the story of selling the company he started and how to use the funds from the sale, and starting this business. Student participants asked specific questions about starting a business for technical college students.
We plan to continue holding events to support the activities of technical college students toward startups.
