At the Nishimikawa High School Soft Tennis Championships (Individual Competition) Men’s Class A Division (venue: Anjo Higashi High School) held on Saturday, November 9, the pair of Yuto Anma (2nd year in the Department of Architecture) and Tomokazu Yokoyama (1st year in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Systems Engineering) of our school’s soft tennis team won the championship. It is the first place out of 46 participating pairs.
This tournament is limited to the Nishimikawa area and will not advance to the higher tournaments, but winning the tournament of Nishimikawa District High School, which is crowded with strong schools, is a “great achievement”.
This tournament is divided into a “Class A Division” in which regular classes from each school participate, and a “Class B Division” in which other members participate, and are held by level. This time, we won the “A Division”, so it is very valuable.
This year, the tennis courts were cut down due to construction work in the school, and the practice environment deteriorated, but it can be said that the results of concentrating on practice despite such adversity were achieved.
