On November 15, a total of 19 people from developing countries’ ministries and agencies visited Toyota National College of Technology as part of a training program conducted by the Japan Overseas Vocational Training Association, a JICA training project outsourced organization. The participants included Afghanistan, Angola, Cambodia, Ghana, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Marshall Islands, Mozambique, Pakistan, the Philippines, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, and Uganda.
First, Principal Tagawa introduced the outline of the technical college education system and the characteristics of Toyota National College of Technology, and then visited the on-campus facilities (Monozukuri Center, student dormitory, RoboCup).
During the exchange of opinions after the visit, questions were asked about the distinctive educational system of the technical college, and it was a meaningful opportunity for international exchange.
After that, we used the school cafeteria for lunch, and the halal cafeteria was well received as valuable.
