  1. Received the Miyoshi City Council Chairman’s Award at the 26th Miyoshi Art Exhibition!

The 26th Miyoshi Art Exhibition was held in Miyoshi City from December 7th to 12th.

From the Art Club, Mr. Takuro Sawa, a second-year student in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Systems Engineering, participated and received the Miyoshi City Council Chairman’s Award.

The award-winning work “Akato Ao” is an ink painting based on black, and its theme expresses the structure that contrasts the spirit of two “Aka Aka” and the spirit of “Kageru Ao” that are contradictory on the inner surface of the human heart.

It seems that the judges praised the fact that ink is an art material that combines Western-like ideas as innovative. Also, contrary to the name of the work, it was unexpected that the real thing was “all black”.

The size is 1460 mm × 1545 mm, and the middle is stopped by a hinge, so it can be erected like a folding screen. The production period was about two days, and the works made during the summer vacation were selected. His continued creative drive led to the award.
