  1. At the 3rd National College of Technology Deep Learning Contest 2022, our students won the “Western Digital Award”!

On April 28 and 29, Reiwa, the technical examination meeting and final round of the 3rd National College of Technology Deep Learning Contest 2022 were held.

This contest is a competition in which companies compete for the business feasibility of manufacturing based on the valuation value of companies by fusing deep learning technologies such as deep generation models and deep reinforcement learning with hardware. This is a valuable contest that utilizes technical college education to learn manufacturing techniques practically and efficiently, leading to “entrepreneurship of technical college students”.

From Toyota National College of Technology, the Hayasaka Laboratory of the Department of Information Engineering, which studies computer technology, and the Ohata Laboratory of the Department of Environmental and Urban Engineering, where students learn technologies related to civil engineering and global environmental conservation, teamed up to form the Hayasaka-Ohata Lab Team and participated.

Tomohma Murakami, a second-year student in the Department of Information Science, and Yuya Yasuda, a second-year student in the Department of Construction Engineering, created the title “JOHS ~Health Resilience System for Visualizing Heat Stroke Risk~” and presented it to investors, which won the Western Digital Award.
