On Saturday, November 30, Reiwa 6, at the “Case Study Presentation of the Toyota City Voluntary Disaster Prevention Association Liaison Council for Reiwa 6” held at the Toyota City Welfare Center, ICHIHARA Daiki and YAMAMOTO Yasuko, 2nd grade students of the Civil Engineering and Architecture Advanced Course, gave a case study presentation on disaster prevention collaboration activities between Toyota KOSEN and Toyota City! About 200 people participated in the presentation, including members of the Toyota City Voluntary Disaster Prevention Association. We presented the results of the “Development and Utilization of Human Resources with Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Skills and Measures to Improve Regional Disaster Prevention Capabilities” (Representative: Professor TANAKA Takayuki, Department of Civil Engineering) in the “Research Proposal from Universities and KOSEN” collaboration agreement with Toyota City implemented in the 5th year of Reiwa. We reported on disaster prevention activities in collaboration with the Toyota City Disaster Prevention Measures Division and the results of 3D block flood inundation behavior analysis using topographic data from 3D scanners. After the presentation, we received inquiries about future disaster prevention cooperation activities, and it was a very meaningful presentation for disaster prevention activities in cooperation with the local community!
