Many students from our school’s Department of Environmental and Urban Engineering participated in the disaster prevention officer training course sponsored by Aichi Institute of Technology in the 5th year of Reiwa, and more than 60 students obtained disaster prevention specialist qualifications! After writing a report based on the Disaster Prevention Officer Textbook, attending emergency lifesaving courses, attending a training course held in December, and passing the Disaster Prevention Officer Qualification Acquisition Examination, you can obtain the qualification of a disaster prevention specialist by registering for qualification certification. This training course was open to students from universities in Toyota City and voluntary disaster prevention associations, and was held as part of the disaster prevention activities of Toyota City as a whole. In addition to this course, many of our students have obtained qualifications as disaster prevention specialists. The Department of Environmental and Urban Engineering will continue to promote disaster prevention and mitigation collaborative activities with the local community, and will continue to conduct educational activities aimed at improving students’ disaster prevention and mitigation skills.
