On Saturday, December 16, Reiwa 5, a ceremony and commemorative lecture were held at the Toyota Civic Cultural Center Main Hall to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Toyota National College of Technology.
The ceremony was held with about 400 guests, alumni, current students, faculty, staff, and parents. After a ceremonial address by Principal Yamada, a congratulatory speech from Mr. Tetsuya Yagi, a member of the House of Representatives, and Mr. Toshihiko Ota, Mayor of Toyota, and a greeting by Mr. Ryomasa Tanaka, a student representative, President Isao Taniguchi expressed his gratitude to the people involved.
At the 60th anniversary lecture held after the commemorative ceremony, Professor Hiroshi Amano, Director and Director of the Future Electronics Integration Research Center at the Institute of Future Materials and Systems, Nagoya University, gave a lecture on “Future Society Created by New Semiconductors.”
