This year’s “Idea Showdown National College of Technology Robot Contest 2019 Tokai-Hokuriku Regional Contest” was held on Sunday, October 20 at “Wing Arena Kariya” in Kariya City. Our school is fully involved in the management of this tournament as the school in charge. On the day of the event, cheering teams from each school and a large number of spectators watched a heated battle between the 20 participating teams (the number of general visitors was 735).
This year’s competition is titled “Ran ♪ Run Laundry,” and the theme is “drying clothes.” T-shirts, bath towels, and sheets that look like laundry are neatly dried on three clotheslines.
Two teams from our school participated, and the “Toyota National College of Technology B Team” won the second place and won the right to participate in the national tournament!
The national tournament will be held on Sunday 24 November at Ryogoku Kokugikan.
The regional tournament will be broadcast on NHK General from 13:05 on Sunday, November 17. The national tournament will be broadcast on NHK BS4K from 19:00 on Sunday, November 24.
