  1. Won 3rd place in the “RoboCup Asia Pacific 2021 Aichi” tournament for the Toyota National College KIKS team!

The Toyota National College of Technology KIKS team participated in the “RoboCup Asia Pacific 2021 Aichi” tournament held at Aichi Sky Expo in Tokoname City from 11/25~11/28 and won 3rd place in the soccer small league (SSL). Until 2019, SSL was played with 8 robots, but from 2020 it was played with 11 robots, and the number had to be increased. We designed a new robot and prepared it with the intention of increasing the number of robots, but due to the Corona disaster, we could not procure semiconductor parts and did not complete all of them. In addition, there were many robots that broke down in the match, and we had to fight with around 6 robots.
KIKS passed the qualifying round in second place due to the robot’s smooth motion control and enhanced ball holding power, and advanced to the final tournament. In particular, the ability to place the ball was praised by other teams. In the final tournament, they lost by a goal due to a robot derailment, and finished in third place. However, “Construction of a system that can respond to 70W brushless motor with direct drive and dribble bar division to strengthen retention force and block communication” was highly evaluated and received the Robotics Society of Japan Award.
