From August 24th (Wed.) ~ August 26th (Fri.), our school hosted the “Reiwa 4th Tokai-Hokuriku Area National College of Technology Technical Staff Training Session”. With the aim of improving the quality of technical staff, this workshop is held every year while recruiting students from technical colleges in the area as well as the Tokai and Hokuriku regions, and changing host schools. This year, a total of 10 students participated, four from the Tokai region, three from the Hokuriku region, and three from the region.
During the training, all technical staff of our school listened to a special lecture by Principal Yamada “Machinery Safety Understood from the Perspective of Robotics” and broadcast the situation remotely to the students. In addition, with the cooperation of external lecturers, a person in charge of SkyDrive Co., Ltd., a venture company that is being developed in Toyota City, explained the development status and future prospects of flying cars, and a remote factory tour was conducted with representatives from Murata Machine Co., Ltd. and Muratec CCS Co., Ltd., which have base factories in Inuyama City, Aichi Prefecture, serving as guides.
There were many first-time attempts, and there were some difficulties in preparation, but there were many situations where I felt the advantages of holding the seminar remotely, and I feel that the training was able to contribute to the improvement of the qualifications of the participants.
During the training, there were a combination of problems with Teams nationwide and network connection problems due to power outages caused by sudden heavy rain, but thanks to the cooperation of everyone involved, we were able to complete the training without any major problems.
