We exhibited at the Toyohashi University of Technology Open Campus held on Saturday, August 25, continuing from last year. This initiative was implemented in collaboration with the university’s Technical College Liaison Office based on the comprehensive agreement on education and research exchange concluded between Toyohashi University of Technology and Toyohashi University of Technology, and members of the popular RoboCup team “KIKS” experienced the operation of a robot and promoted the school through panels.
On the day of the event, many people visited the university, and there were about 150 visitors, including elementary school students, at our booth. In the robot operation experience, the robot was operated by a game controller, and the participants experienced RoboCup in a one-on-one battle format. The participants asked a series of questions about the RoboCup machines, and the faculty member in charge of our school explained that the machines are handmade by our students, and that in the actual competition, the location information of the machines and balls is obtained from the camera, and each machine operates automatically by the program. The participants were amazed by the robot’s smooth and reliable movements.
In addition, Toyohashi University of Technology is scheduled to exhibit at our open campus to be held on October 6 (Sat) and 7 (Sun).
