At the Chukyo University Children’s Sports Festa (Toyota Campus) held on Sunday, November 9, 2025, we demonstrated and exhibited a basketball shooting robot developed by our students.
The robot uses a distance sensor to estimate the distance and angle between the robot and the goal, and can automatically aim. In addition, the force of the shoot from various conditions can be automatically calculated.
Unfortunately, it was held in rainy weather, but many preschoolers, elementary school students, and parents visited. The exhibition of our school was well received, and I was impressed by the explanation of the students and the movement of the robot. In addition, while considering safety, we also had a three-shoot confrontation between humans and robots, which was very exciting.
Students are active in classroom lectures, practical training, experiments, and the knowledge and experience they have gained through Robocon. We look forward to your continued support and cooperation with our Robocon activities.
※Our school participates in the Toyota City Higher Education Revitalization Promotion Platform, which is formed by Toyota City, four universities based in Toyota City, etc., and industry. This demonstration and exhibition was carried out as part of a collaborative project.
