DCON2024 Members who received both the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award and the Corporate Award paid a courtesy visit to State Minister of the Environment Yagi

On June 23, Reiwa 6, four students from the Department of Construction Engineering and the Department of Information Science paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Tetsuya Yagi, State Minister of the Environment, who is a member of the House of Representatives of the Liberal Democratic Party, and reported on the winners of the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award and the Company Award at the 5th National College of Technology Deep Learning Contest 2024 (DCON2024).
Team members Mr./Ms. Aoi Fukuoka and Mr./Ms. Katsuki Yamada explained the technical content and business plan of an AI system that quantitatively evaluates carbon dioxide fixed by concrete structures for the award-winning work “WCS”.
State Minister Yagi congratulated him on receiving the award, and then gave his encouragement on the importance of technical colleges and the need for leadership at Toyota National College of Technology in particular, for the development and globalization of Japan’s next-generation technologies, including semiconductors.
