At the 5th National College of Technology Deep Learning Contest 2024 (DCON2024), Hayasaka and Ohata Lab. received both the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award and the Company Award.
On June 19, Reiwa 6, team members paid a courtesy visit to the mayor of Toyota City to report the award.
First, team representative Mr./Ms. Katsuki Yamada used the presentation materials to explain the award-winning work “WCS (Development of a System for Quantitatively Evaluating CO2 Fixed by Concrete Structures)”.
After that, the members answered the mayor’s questions with dignified expressions.
He talked about the difficulties that took two years to develop the system, and what made him think that it would be possible to use AI to distinguish the color of concrete.
At the end of the meeting, the mayor handed each member a commemorative gift, and the courtesy visit was completed.
