Japan Student Services Organization Scholarships
(For those who plan to advance to the 4th grade in Heisei 31)

1. Purpose of the system
The purpose of this program is to support the advancement to the fourth year of a technical college by providing scholarships that do not require repayment to outstanding students at technical colleges and who have a clear purpose and intention to advance to the fourth year of a technical college, but who have difficulty advancing to the fourth year of technical college due to economic reasons.

2 Benefit method and benefit period

Benefit Method After advancement, in principle, transfer to an account in your name once a month
Benefit period From April 31 to graduation (end of the graduation period)

3 Amount of stipend (if you advance to the 4th grade of a technical college on a monthly basis)

How to get to school Commuting to school at home Commuting outside your home

4 Combination with other scholarships and support systems
(1) Japan Student Services Organization loan-type scholarship
Both Type 1 scholarships (interest-free) and Type 2 scholarships (interest-bearing) can be used together.

(2) Tuition exemption
If you receive a full exemption, the grant amount will be reduced as follows.
a. Commuting to school at home Reduced from 20,000 yen (monthly) to 0 yen (monthly)
(b) Reduction from 30,000 yen (monthly) to 20,000 yen (monthly) for commuting outside the home

(3) Other scholarships and support systems
Some systems may have restrictions, so please check each one.

5 Eligibility
Those who are scheduled to advance to the 4th grade in Heisei 31, have excellent qualities and abilities, and fall under any of the following
(1) Households exempt from inhabitant tax (including households whose supporters are receiving welfare benefits)
※ Must meet the income criteria for a Type 1 scholarship.
(2) Persons requiring social care (persons who are in an orphanage at the age of 18 and are being cared for by foster parents, etc.)

6 Application
Students who meet the above qualifications and wish to apply should attend the following information session.
