The 11th National College of Technology English Presentation Contest
On Saturday, January 27 and Sunday, January 28, the National College of Technology English Presentation Contest was held at the Tokyo Olympic Center, and four students from our school competed: Noritoshi Okada (4th year electrician) in the singles division, and Uki Shirota, Masaomi Takasaka, and Masatsugu Fujii (all 5th year electricians) in the team division.
All four of them were able to respond to questions and answers that were not available at regional competitions without hesitation, indicating their high level of ability. Unfortunately, we didn’t win any prizes in the contest, but we could see that they were making the audience laugh and enjoying their presentations. I think it was wonderful that they presented new ideas based on their own experiences.
From the regional tournament to the national tournament, I was indebted to various teachers and staff. Thank you very much. I would like to continue to use these opportunities to improve students’ English proficiency.
