On Sunday, November 25, Toyota National College of Technology participated in the “31st Idea Showdown National College of Technology Robot Contest National Tournament” held at Kokugikan in Ryogoku, Tokyo. This year’s theme is “Bottle-Flip Cafe,” in which the winner is determined by the number of plastic bottles thrown and standing on the table. Our robot name is “Insect Guild”. Unfortunately, we lost in the first round against Kitakyushu National College of Technology, but in the actual national tournament, we were able to show the high level of technical ability of Toyota National College of Technology by stably operating a highly difficult automatic robot.
The national tournament will be televised on NHK General TV from 10:05 a.m. to 10:59 a.m. on Monday, December 24.
