Sota Hasegawa and Natsumi Hirota, third-year students in the Department of Architecture, received honorable mentions at the POLUS Wooden House Inter-High School Architectural Design Competition for Porus High Schools, Technical High Schools, Technical Colleges, etc. This competition is based on the theme of “Family Time and Home” and is judged by documents using drawings, illustrations, and photographs of the models created.
Based on the concept of “Yui,” which consists of “ren,” the two created a model of a well-balanced house where you can always feel the presence of your family while valuing individual spaces because the coronavirus pandemic has increased the time you spend with your family, and expressed it using drawings and photographs.
As a result, we received an honorable mention out of a total of 140 entries.
