On Sunday, October 26, 2025, we exhibited the Toyota KOSEN booth at the Toyota City Disaster Prevention Event “Is your evacuation life okay?” held at the Toyota City Animal Welfare Center in Kuragaike Park!
Five students from the laboratory of Associate Professor TANAKA Takayuki of the Department of Civil Engineering (2 from the Civil Engineering and Architecture Course and 3 from the Department of Civil Engineering) participated. This event is sponsored by the Toyota Disaster Prevention Awareness Promotion Council, and is an event where you can learn about disaster prevention in a fun way, such as evacuating at home, staying in a car, and experiencing emergency food.
Our school exhibited about “water filtration experiment that can be used in the event of a disaster” and “introduction of surveying method and flood analysis by 3D scanner etc. of the disaster site”. The number of visitors exceeded 150, and it was a valuable opportunity to promote Toyota KOSEN’s disaster prevention activities and improve students’ disaster prevention and mitigation skills!
