  1. Won the Excellence Award (2nd place), Special Award, Company Award, etc. at the National KOSEN Programming Contest

~Ranked second in Japan in the project category, and won special awards and two corporate awards in the free category~

At the 36th National KOSEN Programming Contest (sponsored by the National KOSEN Programming Contest Executive Committee) held on October 11 and 12 at Kunibiki Messe in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, we won the Excellence Award (2nd place in the country) in the project category and the Special Award (equivalent to the 3rd place in the country) in the free category. In addition, we have achieved brilliant results in national competitions, such as winning two corporate awards at the same time.
Representative teams selected from 57 KOSENs across the country participated in the tournament, and under the theme of “Future Innovation Created in the city of water”, a heated battle was held in three categories: project, freedom, and competition. A total of four teams from Toyota KOSEN participated in the competition division, including one team in the project division, two teams in the free division, and one team in the competition division, who passed the preliminary round in June.

[Excellence Award in the Project Category (2nd place in Japan)] Title: Enemaru Craft ― Renewable Energy Learned through Digital Twins ―
With the theme of renewable energy, we proposed the development of educational digital twin teaching materials that link virtual space and the real world. The data such as wind, sunlight, and hydropower measured by sensors were reproduced on Minecraft, and it was highly regarded as a teaching material that allowed children to learn about the mechanism of renewable energy in an experiential way. The results of the class implementation in the sixth grade with the cooperation of teachers from the local Toyota City Umetsubo Elementary School were evaluated, and the Sakura Internet Co., Ltd. Corporate Award was also awarded at the same time.
The team has been nominated for an international programming contest scheduled to take place in Vietnam in March 2026. I missed the top prize, but next time I will aim to be the best in the world. Participating students: ITO Yuta and TAKEZAWA Ryo, 5th year in the Department of Information and Computer Engineering, SUZUKI Kantaro, TSUGE Yuki, and NAKAMORI Hiroki in the 4th year of the Department of Information and Computer Engineering

[Free Division (1) Special Prize (equivalent to 3rd place in Japan)] Title: Hanauta Biyori ― Diary of Writing Only Good Things × Hana × AI ―
AI analyzes the positive content written in the diary and develops an app that automatically generates flowers that symbolize emotions. It is a work that combines sensitivity and technology, which fosters a positive mindset by “writing only good things”. We received the Saison Technology Company Award.

[Free Division (2) Courage Award] Title: OrcheStra ― Music Education Support System through Conductor Experience ―

[Competition Division] The theme of this year’s competition is “E. -About the induction of matchmaking-“. It was an algorithmic competition in which the shortest number of moves were placed next to each other on a square like an Othello board. The Toyota KOSEN team showed a strong fight to break through the first round and advanced to the semifinals.
