OIKE Karen, a fourth-year student in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, was selected as a trainee for the International Nuclear Initiative from Wednesday, September 10 to Wednesday, September 17, 2025, and visited the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the City University of New York in the United States.
At MIT, She visited the research site of fusion power generation and attended lectures on future energy development, and at the City University of New York, she observed research on next-generation nuclear power development.
Through this experience, Ms. OIKE hopes to further deepen her understanding of the safety and potential of nuclear power and apply it to future learning. I hope that Ms. OIKE will continue to play an active role in the future!
