Outline of the educational program and the skills that can be acquired
“Mathematics, Data Science, and AI” is the basic knowledge of the digital society (so-called “reading, writing, and abacus” knowledge), as indicated in the AI Strategy 2019, and it is a fundamental knowledge of the digital society (so-called “reading, writing, and abacus”), and it is important for Japan to contribute to the resolution of global issues (SDGs) with the goal of realizing Society 5.0, and to address the aging and declining population faced by mature societies. It is necessary to solve social issues such as aging infrastructure ahead of other countries.
Toyota National College of Technology has established the “Mathematics, Data Science, and AI Education Program (Applied Basic Level)” for students enrolled in the first year of the associate degree program (regular course) after the 6th year of Reiwa. In the diverse learning environment of early higher education, which is full of experiments, practical training, and practical skills unique to technical colleges (technical colleges), and co-education with many students who have studied abroad and lived in dormitories, which is a characteristic of our school, the “Mathematics, Data Science, and AI Education Program (Applied Basic Level)” is certified by earning credits in related subjects for the purpose of acquiring the following abilities.
- Ability to collect and process a wide range of data in the real world and processing technology
- Knowledge and skills in machine learning algorithms to analyze and correctly interpret a wide range of data
- Basic ability to utilize AI and data science to solve social issues
