Outline of the Department of Specialization
The major course provides specialized technical education at the university level for two years based on the specialized foundations of this department. Each department is open to working adults, and provides education on rapidly advancing advanced technologies and refreshing basic knowledge, and fosters R&D-oriented engineers who will form the core of corporate strategy. Majors can receive a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University Reform Support and Degree Granting Organization. Toyota National College of Technology has the following three majors: Electronic and Mechanical Engineering Major, Construction Engineering Major, and Information Science Major.
Department of Electromechanical Engineering
The Department of Electromechanical Engineering is a mechatronics technology-oriented major that combines electrical and electronic engineering with mechanical engineering. We integrate and educate engineers with advanced research and development capabilities by integrating electronics, computer, and control technologies necessary for the development of precision processing technologies, new materials such as semiconductors, and new thermal fluid systems.
Department of Construction Engineering
The Department of Civil Engineering is oriented toward a new type of construction engineering that combines environmental and urban engineering, which focuses on social infrastructure development, and architecture, which focuses on the creation of comfortable living spaces. Students learn engineering knowledge such as mechanics and environmental engineering, social knowledge such as planning, and design technology using CAD. In addition, you can acquire research and development capabilities through substantial special research.
Department of Information Science
The Department of Information Science is based on a wide range of information sciences, from mathematics to biological information processing, and provides education in advanced computer technologies such as pattern recognition, image processing, artificial intelligence, and computer network technology. In addition, we train R&D-oriented engineers who have acquired advanced electronics technology to realize these goals.
