  1. We held a reflection meeting for this year! (Multigenerational participatory exchange project “Toyota KOSEN Dormitory Town”)

Toyota KOSEN Dormitory Town is an activity by Toyota KOSEN students, faculty, and staff volunteers with the aim of creating a related population and revitalizing the region in the mountainous area of Toyota City. We have been active since 2015 and are developing various activities with students, faculty and staff, elementary school students who applied, and local residents. So far, a total of more than 300 elementary school students have participated in the activity, and 12 of them have enrolled in our school.

On Monday, December 15, 2025, we held a reflection session at Toyota KOSEN to look back on the activities of this year’s Toyota KOSEN Dormitory Town! We also had the local resident volunteers of Sasado Town who are indebted to us in our activities on a daily basis and the people of the Mulberry Club Chubu who are working together in cooperation.

In this year’s activities, many KOSEN students participated in rice planting and the Sasado Town Autumn Festival, but they were unable to harvest rice due to the weather. Various impressions and opinions were expressed from students looking back on this year. In particular, some people said that they were unable to harvest rice due to the weather for two consecutive years, and that they learned the difficulty of farming in dealing with the weather and the preciousness of rice obtained by overcoming the difficulties. I want to participate again next year! There were many students who talked about it, and there were many opinions about the plan for the next year.
