On Sunday, October 6, 2024, two teams from Toyota KOSEN participated in the 2024 Tokai Hokuriku Regional Competition of the KOSEN Robot Contest held in Numazu.
The title of the competition is “Return of the Robots”, and after the robot ejects another robot and lands it, the ejected robot collects the scoring object and returns. In order to operate the robot even after landing, it is necessary not only to have mechanical strength but also to take measures against impact on the circuit control system, so the students have been working on building the robot with ingenuity.
Both teams A and B won the first game of the qualifiers, but unfortunately were eliminated in the second game. However, in recognition of their ideas, Team A received a special award (Honda Motor Co., Ltd.), and Team B received the Idea Award. In addition, Team A will participate in the national competition on the recommendation of the judges for the idea of automating Robot 1 and injecting a large number of Robot 2 in a row.
