TOYOTA KOSEN Dormitory Town is an activity by volunteer students, faculty and staff of TOYOTA KOSEN with the aim of creating a related population and revitalizing the community in the mountainous areas of Toyota City. We have been working since 2015 to develop a variety of activities with students, faculty and staff, elementary school students who have applied, and local residents.

On Sunday, May 25, Reiwa 7, 11 elementary school students, 26 students of our school, 5 faculty members, and local residents participated in the activity in Sasado-cho, Toyota City.
In the morning session “Let’s make electronic circuit boards using light!”, faculty members (Associate Professor KUMAGAI Yuki) and students of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at our school served as guides and used light (sunlight and ultraviolet rays) to draw pictures on electronic circuit boards used in familiar products and create original circuits.
In the afternoon, we received a lecture from the people of the Sasado area and planted rice. The sky was cloudy, so it was not hot and the weather was just right for rice planting! Elementary school students and TOYOTA KOSEN students worked together on rice planting.
Thank you to everyone who participated and everyone in Sasado for their cooperation!

[I also experimented with photosensitive paper]
